Easy Melodic Rock Solo
This week we’ve got a nice easy but melodic solo to have fun with. The backing track consists of the triads D, G, and A and the solo uses the Major Scale AKA the Ionian Mode. Most of the solo is pretty straightforward, although there is some whammy bar manipulation in bar 13 which involves raising the pitch of a natural harmonic. You will need a floating system such as a Floyd Rose to do this. Alternatively, you could hit the harmonic on the B string, fifth fret and press down on the B string behind the nut to raise the pitch. Hope you enjoy this and see you soon!
As always, below the YouTube video you’ll find the backing track to play along with, and below that, the tablature. Aren’t I nice?!
