
Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) Style Solo
The backing track for this solo was inspired by the mighty ‘Kashmir’, but using standard tuning to keep things nice and simple. The solo is full of classic Page licks and kicks off with some phrases based around the A Minor Pentatonic Scale. Notice how the F# is included in the opening phrase, giving it a Dorian Mode sound. The solo also mixes in the A Blues Scale and quite a few position shifts, a common trait in a Page solo.
